German artist, gallerist, DJ and musician David Lieske (b. 1979 in Hamburg), lives and works in Berlin. “Platoon (RL-X),” a 2015 solo exhibition at Mumok, Vienna centered around the artist’s biography, addressed the fluid borders between life and work. Lieske co-founded Dial Records in 1999 and Berlin and New York based Mathew Gallery in 2011.
